Description: | Tomatine is a glycoalkaloid, found in the tomato plant (Lycopersicon esculentumMill.). Tomatine elicits neurotoxicity in RIP1 kinase and caspase-independent manner. Tomatine promotes the upregulation of nuclear apoptosis inducing factor (AIF) in neuroblastoma cells. Tomatine also inhibits20S proteasomeactivity. |
