| Description: | Polyphyllin VI and polyphyllin VII possess anti-cancer activities, they exhibits strong inhibitory effects on lung cancer cell growth in vitro and in vivo by inducing G2/M cell cycle arrest and triggering apoptosis. Polyphyllin VI can inhibit 1,2-dimethylhydrazine(DMH)/dextran sodium sulfate(DSS)- induced colon tumor formation in institute of Cancer Research(ICR) mice partly through inducing apoptosis of abnormal colonic epithelial cells via the intrinsic pathway of apoptosis. |
